Default District Brackets

Since I'm fairly new to this forum/website I couldn't find the class 3 district brackets. Would like to see the brackets for all but mostly district 3. Anyone know where to view them??

I didn't see them on MSHSAA website but just may have missed them.

They will not be out until after the seeding meeting. I think it is on either Wednesday or Thursday

This is kind of a nervous week for many HS wrestling parents. But just take a deep breath and enjoy the ride this week. You will experience the high on Friday night and all day Saturday.

The seeding meetings for district 3 are usually on Thursday afternoon/evening and may be on Wednesday or Thursday for other districts.

The brackets will be created during that meeting.

Usually late Thursday night - someone will give us some information on this board. We sort of sit up and wait on the District Wrestling Santas who attended the meeting to come through for us!!!

The coaches who read the board from the Ozarks area were great to us last year. I hope they will be so kind again this year. It makes for a more restful night.

I wouldn't make too much of seedings. Every year a "non-seeded" kid steps it up and knocks out a "seeded" kid. Some high seeded kids can't take the pressure. Some get "caught" in a match. Some cut too much to get to a weight they haven't been in weeks. Some kids step-it-up to pay back a loss from earlier in the season. Some have already peaked, while others are peaking now. Some have injuries.
I wouldn't make too much of seedings.

All that you said has elements of truth and does occur but I believe the idea of the thread is information regarding the district brackets - not just the seedings. The brackets are created during the seeding meeting. So whereever a wrestler is on the district list, many parents are interested and even excited about finding out who their sons or daughters will wrestle at districts prior to the beginning of the tournament.

I think half the fun is to see if any of the wrestlers move up or down in weights. Seems like every year there is one or two suprises with the weight jumping. It's either YAY he went down 5 pounds or its aw crap he moved into my sons weight! But thats just one of the fun parts when the district brackets come out on this website. Good luck to all the kids at Districts and State this year.

You are right. And sometimes they move into something (or meet somebody) they weren't expecting to meet.

I never moved my sons around (I have three that wrestled and one still does). I always had them wrestle in whatever weight class the Good Lord placed them in. You knew the Lord was a wrestler didn't you? Those of us who went to Sunday School know very well that according to the scriptures, Jacob wrestled with the Lord. So he would know which weight class our son should be in pre season, during the season and post season.

If the coaches and the boys simply listen the Lord then they would not be jumping around trying to find the weight class that would afford them the quickest path to state. They would just beat the guys in their on natural weight class because that is where they were designed to be in the first place. Preach On Rev Doc!!! LOL

That is why I always tell people that wrestling is God's sport.

Amen! I hated the fact that I sucked weight when I wrestled and here I was thinking about far I would have my suck down next year, you have made up my mind, I had a kid in middle school last year passing out because his parents had him sucking so much weight.

Thank You.
