On that note:

When I was pregnant with Nick, I had to have an ultrasound late in the 7th month of my pregnancy because of complications. The tech was a tactless guy who jumped on my case for referring to Nick as a "baby." "It's a FETUS!" he corrected me.

So the next time you see a pregnant woman, you can ask her if she's felt the fetus kicking yet. Better duck, though, she might deck you... pregnant women are very unpredictable.

When I was a baby/fetus, my moms water broke somewhere around the end of her second trimester. They rushed her to the hospital and the doctors informed her that she was going to lose me, that a baby/fetus cannot survive a water break at that age. Needless to say I am still here. I always joke by telling her I saw a hole and plugged it up with my thumb for the remaining few months.

I am not certain on the developmental stage I was at when this happened but I think she told me it was around 5 or 6 months of the pregnancy.
